Why should we hire you as our photographer?

This is the biggest question proposed to photographers. Why should you hire me? Because I will take care of you as if you were my family. I will be here for you, I'll go to bat for you, be your problem solver and most importantly I'm fun! Sessions can be stressful at times, but even through those not-so-great moments I am right there with you. Come rain or shine, your images will still be amazing!

How did you learn photography?

I am mostly self-taught with my camera and editing software. I'm very much a hands-on, get out and practice kind of gal. No photographer is perfect and there is always potential to learn. I'm huge on education and take photography workshops here and there to brush-up on techniques, etc.

How would you describe your style of photography?

I would best describe my style as real & honest. I love every bit of the deep, emotional connections; love, family, joy, and just good ol' fashioned fun! I'm really big on candids and capturing in the moment memories. I strive to put my clients at ease and make them feel comfortable in any situation. I treat them as family ♡

How long do the photo sessions last?

It all depends on the type of session booked. Most range between 1 to 2 hours with the exception of Special Occasion events or Weddings.

Do you offer packages? Or is there a set amount of photos to expect?

Packages are offered for Graduations & Weddings only. The amount of images depends on the session you decide to book (VISIT PRICING PAGE). Usually, it's between 10 - 30 images, with exception of weddings.

What is involved in a branding photoshoot?

Great question! This session is all about taking your business to the next level. Promoting not only you but the product you sell and are most passionate about. For more tips on what to wear and how to prepare for this photoshoot, please CONTACT ME.

Do you offer prints?

YES! Prints & other products are now available for purchase through your ONLINE CLIENT COLLECTION GALLERY.

Do you edit all of your photographs?

Yes, I do! Every image you receive is hand-edited with basic colour correction/touchups and any other adjustments using Lightroom & Photoshop so that they bring out your lovely personalities and story!

Can our photos be delivered in black and white and colour?

They can! All images are delivered in black and white AND colour! This way you can choose between the two!

How long will it take to receive my photographs?

Turnaround time is between 2-3 weeks for most sessions. Weddings can take a much longer duration as there are more images to edit, however I strive to have all client images/galleries completed as soon as possible.

Do you have a studio location?

No, I do not have a studio at this time.

Do you have an assistant/second photographer?

All sessions are done by me, however if a second photographer is needed for a particular event a second photographer can be arranged to assist with the shoot.

How far in advance should I book for a wedding session?

You should plan to book at least 12 months in advance. If you are planning an elopement or small ceremony, please CONTACT ME to check availability.

What are your prices/rates?

I'm working on a budget, do you offer discounts?

My packages/pricing have been carefully curated and priced accordingly to their value, so unfortunately my pricing is set. At this time, I only offer payment plans on Wedding packages.

Do you travel to capture sessions?

YES ABSOLUTELY!! Definitely willing to travel to capture the picture perfect moments for your session.

Do you charge extra for travel?

As stated on my Pricing page, any locations 90km or more away from MANDY RENÉE PHOTOGRAPHY are subject to a fee of $.65/km which is charged both ways. Locations out of province please CONTACT ME for further details/pricing.

Is there a fee or deposit required for sessions?

Yes, a 35% non-refundable deposit is required for all lifestyle sessions. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required for wedding packages. These deposits are to secure your session appointment along with a signed contract. I accept payments for all sessions by E-transfer. To pay online using a credit card, CONTACT ME.

Mini Sessions have a set price and still require the 35% deposit fee to hold your session appointment. Giveaways are free of charge and can be used for any Mini Session event or session of your choice.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel a session, 48 hour notice by e-mail or phone is recommended. Life happens and emergencies, etc can come up which is completely understandable. However, please be aware that your 35% retainer fee still remains non-refundable due to late cancellation or no shows that require rebooking.

For wedding session cancellation, please notify me at least 14 days in advance. The 50% retainer fee agreed upon will remain non-refundable.

What happens if you as the photographer need to cancel?

Please know that I take the shooting of each session with great responsibility and very seriously and if cancellation were to come up, I'd have a grave reason for it. I will notify you in as much advance as possible and a refund option would be discussed in further detail.

For weddings, we would be sure that another photographer would be in place to care for your special day as I would if I were present.
